As 2017 comes to an end, we find ourselves reflecting on the
many wonderful moments that have passed throughout the year in the Foto Care
Community. This has been one of our most
exciting years; we have tons of new product releases, added new members to
our staff, completed over 25 incredible events and collaborated on even more,
and implemented changes to better suit the needs of our customers. We’re proud of our accomplishments, and would
love to share some of our top highlights with you.
We’ve had many fantastic events over the past year, but a
few stand out as extraordinary. We
celebrated the launch of partnering with Phase One as a dealer with a rooftop
party on a perfect May evening. We also
had pro fashion photographer and Canon Explorer of Light, Lindsay Adler, teach
a lighting workshop on our rooftop with professional models, makeup artists,
and stylists.
We also partnered with our vendors for some amazing off site
events. We participated with Fujifilm in
their First Annual Fujifilm Festival, an entire weekend of Fujifilm
X-Photographer’s running workshops and classes.

We also visited Photoville in Brooklyn, and got to see so
much amazing fine art and documentary photography. We got to try out some Leica cameras and lenses,
as well as participate in a long exposure night photography workshop with

Some game changers were announced in 2017 in the world of
Photography, specifically in the world of medium format. This includes the Fujifilm GFX 50s system:
the first Mirrorless Medium Format System and the most affordable on the
market. Also announced was the Profoto
A1, the world’s smallest studio light.
We’ve added some new member to the Foto Care family. Anthony Festa is our new on staff technical
support expert. With an expansive
background as a digital tech and studio tech, Anthony will be assisting you with
all your support and service issues as well as teaching the Capture One Training

Scattergood and Khaled Anwar to the rentals team. Nicholas is a part time student doing a great job at the front counter and Khaled comes to us with over 15 years experience in the rental studio business and is working with customers to fulfill their orders.
